I paint as a way to meditate and come home to a deeper place within my body. My work is an exploration of movement, rhythm and colour. Each piece begins with intuitive marks, which evolve organically and intentionally following my own inner landscape. Each piece is personal and energetic. I work with a range of medium such as pastel, watercolour and inks, and they are largely on paper or cardboard. I want my paintings to be a pause - a space where viewers can find their own meaning in the flow of shapes and colours." process. The swirling of paint, the exploration of light and shade, the earths textures and pattern's, and the cumulative resilience of water and stone—these forms teach me about balance, patience, and the interconnectedness that sustains life.
Through acrylic paint, I explore these lessons in vibrant layers, seeking to translate a sense of belonging to something larger than ourselves and what meets the eye.
