Artwork Description: The narrative behind 'A Home In Tuscany':

Memories contained within the walls, all lined up with no order.
The scratchy rough surface holds the building blocks tightly together.
They are fixed forever, fused with ancient wisdom and silence.
Those who have lived before us, their cries and laughter stain the walls.
Ever changing patterns of life, squeeze into the crevices and cracks.
The warmth of the soft, smooth facade can quickly turn cold as the sun fades.
The heavy dampness within wants to escape but needs time for release.
All its colours blend well in the light, and their boundaries blur in the night.
As the seasons change, people come and go, but the house seems to remain the same.
As an arts therapist, my creative practice grows from a belief that art is a bridge between self, nature, community, and what is known and yet to be discovered. My work is rooted in mindfulness practice and expressing what is felt and seen within each moment that I engage with the materials.

The materials and nature are my collaborators, acting as a guide in my art making process. The swirling of paint, the exploration of light and shade, the earths textures and pattern's, and the cumulative resilience of water and stone—these forms teach me about balance, patience, and the interconnectedness that sustains life.

Through acrylic paint, I explore these lessons in vibrant layers, seeking to translate a sense of belonging to something larger than ourselves and what meets the eye.
