Artwork Description: This work is inspired by aerial views of Central Australia—vast stretches of barren land interrupted by scattered lakes. From above, the earth’s contours
weave around water bodies, revealing patterns of resilience and fragility. The
parched terrain, where only a few plants endure, contrasts with the vitality that
water brings. In clay, I explore this dialogue between desolation and renewal.
Texture and glaze echo the dryness of the land and the glimmer of water as
life’s sustaining force. These works invite reflection on balance, endurance,
and the quiet transformations held within Australia’s harsh yet compelling
landscape.
I primarily work with watercolour ink and acrylics, but I am always open to experimenting with new mediums and techniques. For me, art is an evolving journey—one that grows with every experience, memory, and moment of inspiration.
