Artwork/Artist Description: A picture of a seashell.

I am a Yarraville based artist. I create abstract paintings of layered lines placed by chance and intuition. I also make computer based interactives and procedural artworks that I dub Diversions that I occasionally turn into animations. My works evoke natural rhythms and celebrate the process of painting, embracing changes, accidents, and discoveries made along the way.

I make art about art. I believe visual art has to be visually interesting and tell a story. I prefer in my art to let the viewer construct their own story out of the platform I provide rather than dictate the story. The story is often a search for identity. Art is a great solace and source of inspiration for me. I cannot imagine a life without creating art. Life is a search for meaning.

I am fascinated by the possibilities of layers of lines.
